چکیده

Objective: The objective of the present study was to determine causative pathogen and detect their susceptibility a panel antibiotics among patients diagnosed with chronic otitis media (COM). Methods: This single-center, hospital-based, cross-sectional, observational involving total 156 COM. Pus swab collected from patient’s ear sent for culture sensitivity. Results: mean median age included in 19.1 20.5 years, respectively. In study, 133 (85.3%) participants were mucosal COM, remaining 23 (14.7%) had squamosal type A positive culture/bacterial growth seen 139 samples (89.10%). Of that bacterial growth: 93.5% single bacteria 6.5% showed more than one bacterium. Pseudomonas aeruginosa most common identified on (32.7%), followed by other species (23.7%) Staphylococcus aureus (18.58%). Isolated specimens susceptible Polymyxin B Colistin. sensitive Meropenem Imipenem. Conclusion: P. About ten (10%) isolated pseudomonas staphylococcus multi-drug resistant.
